FEMINIST. EVIDENCE. ACTION.

The Learning Lab is our offering to strengthen the capacity of feminist activists, women’s rights defenders, programme practitioners, and programme managers to design and deliver quality violence prevention programmes. All the courses in the Learning Lab will equip you with the knowledge, skills, and tools to design and deliver effective prevention programmes informed by feminist principles, evidence, and practice-based knowledge. We celebrate the diversity, collaboration, and experience of our course facilitators and course designers, who help our learners’ community experience an action-oriented learning experience. Learner’s view

Watch Parinita Bhattacharjee share her experience taking the ‘How to Succeed at VAW Prevention’ course in the Learning Lab.

Test 1

The content is of high quality and is backed up by evidence and draws from real life experiences of all participants. It was brilliantly packaged for easiest absorption and application. All the tools were undeniably useful.

Test 2

I will borrow some content from the hand-outs to develop customised training content on prevention of VAW for the local community in Coastal Kenya

Ajwang Akoth Caren, Kenya

Prevention Essentials

Test 3

The course content was very clear and well organised in a relatively short time to cover key concepts and examples. The introduction of different approaches addressing [violence against women and violence against children] simultaneously was very helpful, together with case studies in different countries. This is because we can use those approaches adopted to our context by exploring the components of each programme

Test 4

I have learnt a lot from taking this course, I want to appreciate the effort of the facilitators. The most useful part of the course for me is applying this strategy because it gives me an insight on how our organisation can effectively apply this strategy.

Working with Couples

Test 5

It has helped me start to reflect on power. I have also learnt how I can reflect on my own beliefs and behaviours and use that to challenge negative social norms. By reflecting on these, I am better able to train the community on behaviour change as regards [gender-based violence/violence against women and girls].

Test 6

The examples and video case studies were helpful to ground theory in practice. Really enjoying the collaborative's training offer, great resources for practitioners from all walks of professional life, great lay public / non-specialist resources.
