The laws of my country does not allow physical assault and anyone found doing it is prosecuted. Mercy would have known that physical assault is punishable by law and she wouldnt tolerate it.
In my country education is free and children of all genders are given same opportunity to learn. this will reduce gender inequality. maybe she would be having a career and their economic situation would be better reducing the economic burden on clinton.

Gender inequality enabled violence in Mercy’s life and community by
Girls are made to believe that physical assault with partner is normal.
Girls not given same opportunity to go to school as the boys.
violence worsens gender inequality by demeaning the women’s self-esteem making them feel less.

Accountable to women and girls: Involve the women and girls in planning and implementation of program.
Based in a gender power analysis: Involve all genders so that interventions dont look like they will demean another gender.
Inclusive and intersection: Look at different characteristics of the people and including all without discrimination.
Prioritize safety of girls and women: Plan for the safety of the women and girls and addressing any backlash.
Starting with ourselves: Looking at values of staff when hiring. Having a plan to deal with secondary trauma for staff.

Raising awareness by holding meetings with community members is a universal prevention strategy. this is because it focuses on the whole community whether affected or not to prevent occurrence of VAW.
