Would the social norm affect us as practitioners at our place of work?
Yes. Most practitioners are from the same community so if a child is brought to the hospital and claims they are beaten by the parents, the providers take the side of the child and start reprimanding them for not being good to their parents. The same will happen to a woman who has been beaten by her husband.

A strong family needs to have a man as head of the household. I disagree-there are many Women led families that are very strong. Anyone can bring up a strong family is they are emotionally prepared

Women and men should share responsibility for raising children and doing housework. Yes. Where both are present, both should be equal shareholders in bringing up their children.

Beating a child teaches him or her discipline – spare the rod and spoil the child. I disagree. It takes more in bringing up children than quickly using a rod/cane.

Most women and children are abused by strangers. Women and children are safe when they are at home. I disagree. COVID-19 has taught us differently about homes being a place of peace and solace, many women and children are abused at home

Men cannot control themselves. Violence is simply a part of their nature. I disagree. This statement equates men to irrational beings or beast-like. Men can control their emotions and can be violence-free.
