I feel that it is imperative that all relevant agencies are trained on how to handle GBV cases thus more cases will be reported and handled with outmost discretion without creating that fear of people speaking up

I’m Tjarirove Hangara, a youth worker located in Namibia with a strong commitment to youth and community development. Over the last five years, I’ve dedicated my efforts to community service organizations where we provided health education to girls aged 10-24. Our initiatives also included implementing the SGBV curriculum known as No means No, conducting community engagement activities, and offering parenting programs.

Academically, I hold two diplomas and a degree in Youth and Community Development, and I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in the same field. Beyond my professional life, I engage in sports anchoring and actively volunteer at shelters. Looking ahead, my aspiration is to establish a daycare center specifically catering to teenage single mothers.
