Health professionals working at Joseph’s community centre received training on trauma-informed care for children affected by violence.

The cash savings groups sought to engage couples from all over Joseph’s community, including a religious leader, to promote messages of reducing violence against children and the promotion of more gender-equitable relationships.

Through a donor grant, Joseph’s school was able to eliminate school fees, provide uniforms, health, and hygiene supplies and nearly eliminate primary school drop out.

The district where Joseph’s community was located began re-training police forces to better respond to reports of violence against children and posting police units in places where community violence was most likely to occur.

The cash savings groups encouraged couples to apply what they learned regarding positive parenting at home to build stronger couple relationships and better relationships with children.

Local leaders in Joseph’s community came together to advocate for stronger laws banning violent punishment of children in schools and at home.

The group that Joseph’s parents were engaged in provided a space where couples could discuss how to better save and invest their money, particularly those affected by the factory closure.
